Position Type: Appointed, Non-Voting Board Position
Term: 3 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Chair the Finance Committee.
  • Review financial reports and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor budget performance.
  • Support financial controls and accountability.
  • Work with the Executive Director, bookkeeper, and CPA.
  • Report financial information and concerns to the Board.

Ideal Candidate: Someone who is organized, trustworthy, comfortable reviewing financial information, and interested in nonprofit financial oversight.

Secretary

VP of Physical Education

Position Type: Elected Board Position, Voting Position
Term: 2 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Physical Education professionals.
  • Promote quality Physical Education.
  • Support professional development and advocacy.
  • Participate in Annual Conference planning.
  • Coordinate Health. Moves. Minds. activities.
  • Collaborate with other Oregon SHAPE leaders.

Ideal Candidate: A Physical Education professional who is passionate about quality PE, professional growth, and advocacy.

VP of Adapted Physical Education

Position Type: Elected Board Position, Voting Position
Term: 3 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Adapted Physical Education professionals.
  • Advocate for inclusive and accessible Physical Education.
  • Promote professional development and resources.
  • Support Adapted PE conference programming.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Physical Education and other leaders.
  • Support advocacy and outreach.

Position Type: Appointed, Non-Voting Position
Appointment: Annual appointment or contract
Monthly Stipend: Dependent on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage website and social media content.
  • Coordinate email communications and newsletters.
  • Promote programs, events, membership, and advocacy.
  • Develop and maintain a communications calendar.
  • Coordinate public announcements and outreach.
  • Work with the Board, Executive Director, and committees.

Ideal Candidate: Someone who enjoys writing, social media, website content, digital communications, and helping an organization connect with its members and community.
