Skillastics $15,000 Physical Activity Grant
In celebration of our 15th Year Anniversary of promoting physical activity, Skillastics® is awarding FIVE, $3,000 grants to eligible schools to enhance their Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program (CSPAP).
FIVE LUCKY WINNERS Will Each Receive a $3,000 Grant
- $2,000 of the grant will be applied toward a customized Skillastics Activity Kit package to enhance all five components of your CSPAP program.
- $1,000 will be applied toward registration and travel to the 2018 Shape America National Convention & Exposition, scheduled March 20-24, 2018 in Nashville, TN.
For grant recipients that are not current SHAPE America members, the Convention registration will also include a complimentary one-year SHAPE America Select Professional membership.
The application deadline is Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Fuel Up to Play 60
Apply for $4,000 in Funds for Fuel Up to Play 60!
Schools can apply now for up to $4,000 to support school wellness improvements, thanks to Fuel Up to Play 60!
Fuel Up to Play 60 is a for youth, with-youth program empowering students to create healthy changes nationwide. The largest in-school wellness program was created by the National Dairy Council and National Football League in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. With school grants, exciting NFL rewards, a healthy eating and physical activity “Playbook” designed to support healthier schools, and additional resources, this customizable program is easy for any educator to embrace and any student to engage with.
Funds for Fuel Up to Play 60 is designed to support “Plays” from the Fuel Up to Play 60 Playbook. Plays are action strategies that aim to increase students’ access to healthy eating and physical activity in school. In the past, schools have used the funding to implement things like a Breakfast in the Classroom program, healthy eating promotion throughout the school and a school-wide walking club.
Schools are encouraged to join Fuel Up to Play 60 and apply for Funds today. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Oregon Active Schools – Northwest Health Foundation Grant
Oregon Active Schools is offering an exciting grant opportunity for eligible schools to apply for in Oregon. The grant amount is $3,000 for first-year applicants and $1,500 for second and third-year applicants. The deadline for grant applications is November 30, 2017. The Chisholm Foundation Grant
The Chisholm Foundation is a charitable organization founded in 1960 by Alexander F. Chisholm, a businessman, philanthropist and churchman of Laurel, Mississippi.
The mission of The Chisholm Foundation since inception has been to nurture and support meaningful endeavors in education, the arts, and religion.
Guidance of the Foundation’s activities has remained within the founder’s family for three generations and continues to serve the original vision.
